My abiding memory of this - aside from the above - was Ian saying something along the lines of 'Of course, I have Scottish ancestry myself,' and the majority of the crowd going, 'Bwaaaah, yir talkin' shite!' ... in a good-natured way, of course. Welcome to Glasgow!

I was at this show at the age of 17 my friend Brian and I traveled from Perth for it and I was in the venue before the gig started, members of Fugazi were around including Ian who i think i might have blurted out an embarrassed "Hiya" to I remember watching Dawson (a fantastic and highly underrated/forgotten Scottish band) sound checking and they were banging an old 70's style TV stand against a dustbin and having some problems I remember the sound guy shouting "Sorry i have never had to mic up a TV stand and a dustbin before" Fugazi were amazing I remember the gig so well even now,I remember someone shouting "Out Of Step" and Ian curtly replying "If you want to hear Minor threat Go Home and listen to a record" also some moshing arsehole banged into me several times during Fugazi's set and after about the 5th time i gave him a shove and he turned round tried to boot me in the balls and gave me the whole "come ahead" gestures being 17 and from small town Perth in Big town Glasgow i was terrified and spent the rest of the gig panicing that i was gonna get my head kicked in after however i managed to sneak to the side of the stage to watch the rest of the set and I VERY vividly remember the lengthy jammed version of "Suggestion" where Ian invited women on stage to share their stories in relation to the subject matter and several got on stage and shared some horrific stories and i have to be honest i was moved to tears during the whole thing and i remember Guy being off dancing high above it all on the speakers while these girls said their piece (s). This was one of the best gigs i have ever seen in my life of MANY hundreds of gigs I have attended it affected me profoundly and I still think about it often even now at the ripe old age of 43!!! I think of this as one of the most amazing and moving gigs i have ever been to and to have left such an impression on me that has lasted some 26 years i feel i witnessed something truly profound and unique that night.

There is quite a lot of static on this recording, but other than that, the vocals and instruments come out well if you turn up the volume! A striking performance, thanks for sharing. ..

Excellent gig....would like 2 hear it again...support bands were good as well....only down side was that some random woman got up on stage and proceeded to have a 10 minute femenist rant against all the men who were there.Fair enough, but it was a bit O.T.T... Guy took the time for a wee chat with me and my pals after the gig....

This was our first time playing in Glasgow and we found ourselves in front of a lively crowd, to say the least. During an epic version of 'Suggestion' 15 or 20 women took over the stage and the microphones. As it happens this is the only song we have from that show (it was on the back of the Manchester cassette) and the sound quality is poor, but it was a very memorable experience and we're glad to have this document. Listen to it for free, or buy it for a dollar!

Please Note: Available recordings have been mastered to correct for volume shifts, drop outs, etc. but some sonic anomalies will still exist, especially early in the set when the mix is being settled. The band has rated each show for sound quality and set the general price of a download at $5 per show. If you have a different price in mind feel free to utilize the alternative pricing option.
