Nice versions of Bed for the Scrapping, Target, and By You.
Note that Facet Squared is tacked onto Cassavettes
[Ian]: "Hey boy, pull you fucking pants up, I'm sick of seeing your underwear. You, pull your fucking pants up, pull your pants up!! Put a shirt on! Okay... Hey, you know what, maybe if the people in the middle right there, when some of these guys come onto your head because you're doing that whole video thing, pass them backwards, that way atleast they can see them coming, you know, this way they're just falling in the barricades, it is very tedious. Thank you."
This sort of interaction pretty much sets the tone for the night. Bummer.
Ditto... please add this show!
I remember Dub Narcotic opening this show, and Calvin Johnson making a bunch of Hollywood jokes (like imitating Tatum O'Neal running up onstage to collect her Oscar for Paper Moon (the Oscars were held at the Shrine for years, but by '95 it was mostly host to Science Fiction conventions and private corporate parties)).
Then Fugazi took the stage and opened with Cassavetes, saying it all with one song!
