This was a large festival with many bands playing in different places over several days. The bands that played on the same day in the same place before Fugazi were: Stigmata, Jorge Cabeleira, Daizy Down, Oz, Intense Manner of Living and Virna Lisi

This one is missing the sound quality rating.
First ever Fugazi gig in Brazil, set at the Belo Horizonte Independent Music Festival in the presence of some 3000 attendees.
While the band appears appreciative of such a unique event and the performance is overall tight, little is left to chance. In fact, most of the set list pretty much gets sorted in-between songs, as the band members audibly suggest and discuss what to play next, which is quite a departure from the organic, spontaneous modus operandi.
Even though the volume levels are a bit low, the mix is quite evenly balanced and enjoyable (note that the sound is pretty much reduced to mono during Rend It and Great Cop).
The set includes the live debut of both Birthday Pony and Target (two songs featured on the 1995 Red Medicine studio album release). Other highlights in my book include Nice New Outfit, Turnover, Waiting Room, Margin Walker, Give Me The Cure, Target and definitely Promises.
To top things off, it can be noted that this is Joey Picuri’s (soundman) birthday show!
The sound quality of this recording is not the best, but it is acceptable (note that the sound is pretty much reduced to mono during Rend It and Great Cop).
Still, what the sound lacks in quality is made up in other ways. For instance, this set includes song premières of both Birthday Pony and Target (two songs featured on the 1995 Red Medicine studio album release). Also, musical highlights in my book include Turnover, Waiting Room, Margin Walker, Give Me The Cure, Target and definitely Promises. And to top things off, it can be noted that this is Joey Picuri's birthday show!

Please Note: Available recordings have been mastered to correct for volume shifts, drop outs, etc. but some sonic anomalies will still exist, especially early in the set when the mix is being settled. The band has rated each show for sound quality and set the general price of a download at $5 per show. If you have a different price in mind feel free to utilize the alternative pricing option.
"That was actually a show we played at the Belo Horizonte Festival in Brazil. It was a giant, free festival. It was the first independent festival that they’d ever done. It was in a parking lot of a train station. There were about 4,000 people there. The stage was about twenty-six feet high. It was a totally absurd situation. But between the bands, over the PA they would play bands like Sepultura. They love grindcore, metal kind of stuff and when they would play these bands, they’d play these insane—five or six hundred people circle would develop. And Guy and I were watching this. We were incredulous. This seemed impossible that this many people were dancing. It was a huge, huge circle pit thing and Guy said, “I’ll give you a buck if you go for that.” I just did the whole, one circulation. It was incredible, actually. I was laughing so hard. It was totally enjoyable. Those kids were not slamming, per se. There were no punches being thrown. Just dancing in a giant circle."
