This show was the first of two times I was lucky enough to see Fugazi live. It was a great show, but the crowd was rough up front, making it hard to truly enjoy the show. I'm happy to be able to revisit it here!
Note the guitar play and playful little improvisations during Waiting Room; the result is definitely fun and enjoyable. Other highlights in my book include Promises and Long Division into Two Beats Off into Sweet And Low. I was looking forward to Instrument to conclude the set, yet the transition is not flawless this time around, since Ian seemed to have caught the rest of the band a bit off guard.
Chrissy Piper took photos of this show that are featured in the book "The Unheard Music." There are some nice shots.

Please Note: Available recordings have been mastered to correct for volume shifts, drop outs, etc. but some sonic anomalies will still exist, especially early in the set when the mix is being settled. The band has rated each show for sound quality and set the general price of a download at $5 per show. If you have a different price in mind feel free to utilize the alternative pricing option.
I enjoyed listening to this show. At the beginning, Ian asked the audience for recommendations on the best driving route from Denver to Salt Lake City: the (interstate) 70 or the 80? This dialogue took a surprising turn and made me laugh.
