Solid show. Sounds like the band opened for the Toadies on this evening. They still play a nice full set of 14 songs including an encore. This is a packed little room with a fairly energetic sounding crowd. Persistent sound problems plague the early portion of the show but overall this is a C+/B- level recording so far as the quality. Fun moment prior to Give Me the Cure where sounds like Guy saying "Excuse me is everything OK Sir" to which a guy in the audience clearly replies "I'm on Druuuuuuugs!". I had to play that back a few times to figure out what the hell it was and was mightily amused.

...a pivotal moment for the ft worth music scene.

(this is not a photo of the Axis, though)

The Axis show was actually in Fort Worth, not Dallas. I was there and it was a blast. Wish there was a recording.
