We saw Fugazi the night before in Austin at Liberty Lunch. We then drove back to Houston the next night to see this show. When we got to The Axiom it was sold out. Went around to the side door. Ian just happened to be walking by. I told him go just drove in from Austin, and we had seen the show the night before. I asked if he could get us into the show. He told me we should be glad we saw the show the night before, and walked away.

Please Note: Available recordings have been mastered to correct for volume shifts, drop outs, etc. but some sonic anomalies will still exist, especially early in the set when the mix is being settled. The band has rated each show for sound quality and set the general price of a download at $5 per show. If you have a different price in mind feel free to utilize the alternative pricing option.
What can I say? I had been to 'concerts', but this was my first punk rock show. It happened to be during an era when the bonehead/skinhead thing was going pretty strong, which sometimes made this venue pretty scary and potentially dangerous, especially for a freshman in high school. I will never forget, right before they began to play, Ian gave the direction to turn all the stage lights on and keep them on for the duration of the set. I knew they were about to get down to business. Like any Fugazi show I attended in the following ten or so years, there would be periodic pauses to persuade jackasses in the audience to behave and have respect for their neighbors, which can certainly kill the flow of any great set, but after seeing countless bands do what they do, this will always be one of the most significant and memorable shows I have experienced. Thanks for posting this for download!
