A simultaneously pleasant and frustrating listen, as mechanical problems seemed to derail several sogns.

I was at this show to make up for my delinquency at the Manly High School performance a little earlier in the tour. This was to be remedied. I had gone straight edge for a period in High School, but the Manning Bar was my university hang, so I was desperate to see the band totally aware and awake. It was awesome, and I would truly love to have a memento of that show. I actually gave Guy a picture I had taken while holidaying with my family in Malta a year before, it was a house that was called Fugazi, and my younger brother took a shot with me flashing a peace sign out the front. Apparently in Malta, when they name a house, they combine the names of the married couple who live there. Six degrees of separation being what it is, someone who happened to be at Ian's place saw the photo on the back of Ian's door. Does it get any cooler than that I wonder?

I went to this gig and it was awesome - the entire room waa entranced and as one , with complete appreciation of the band and no hassels. The best gig I have ever been to !! [ includes seeing everything from REM / Go-Betweens to Rollins Band in full flight , and Mudhoney et al and across all types of music and venues]. Although I didn't see Radio Birdman at the Oxford Funhouse - this may be similiar to when people said that they couldn't stop and just walked to enjoy the experience - Jules et al - " Rock,n,Roll Soldiers - WEA Records [ Warners - down here in Australia]. Thanks. Grant Francis Donohue.
