Even though it is kind of interesting to get an alternate version of several Ian-driven songs such as KYEO, Burning Too, Waiting Room or Bad Mouth, I find most of it feels as a spur of the moment thing which doesn't necessarily hold up well.
Ian does take on Merchandise and Song #1, but you can hear his voice break a number of times as he gears up to do some shouting.
Interestingly, this recording features the only live rendering of Joe #1 in the course of the 1988 Euro tour. This is the first time the tune gets played since the May 22, 1988 show in Pomona, California (FLS #0034).
Also, note that the Provisional Medley presented here not only premieres the instrumental arrangements that would make up the rhythm of the Provisional song released in 1989 as part of the Margin Walker EP, but also includes the Hello Morning and part of the Promises instrumentals while Guy improvises some lyrics to go with all of it.
As to the quality of the recording, I find that it generally sounds quite good, with the exception of the flat sounding guitar, and some sonic irregularities marring part of Glueman.
Guy sings a lot of Ian's songs on this one (part of KYEO, Burning Too, Waiting Room, and Bad Mouth). Factor in the setlist, and this might be the most Guy-centric show ever.

Please Note: Available recordings have been mastered to correct for volume shifts, drop outs, etc. but some sonic anomalies will still exist, especially early in the set when the mix is being settled. The band has rated each show for sound quality and set the general price of a download at $5 per show. If you have a different price in mind feel free to utilize the alternative pricing option.
On their first European tour in 1988, Fugazi played 6 shows in Italy, of which 3 have surfaced, having been recorded by the band's sound engineers. This is the first of these shows and recordings, and it is set in the city of Udine, capital of the identically named province of Udine in the northern autonomous Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy, bordering Austria and present-day Slovenia.
Basically I think this is a bit of a hit-or-miss performance. For one, the flow of the set list doesn't work that well for me personally. Although I very much like Break-In and Keep Your Eyes Open, I think these songs work even better as a proverbial kick in the bollocks when served later in the set, allowing some momentum to build first.
Further, and more importantly, word on the internet is that Ian was suffering from a sore throat at the time of the gig. I don't know if there is any truth to this, but the fact of the matter is that Guy ended up singing most of the songs, and even took care of the formal introductions this time around.
