The third and last of three consecutive gigs in the state of Washington. We find the band performing at the Evergreen State College, Dorm Building A, Room D303. It is an intimate, sweltering and sweat-induced type of happening as you can easily imagine the constricted, clustered movement of too many people cramped in a small room, while Fugazi provides the throbbing soundtrack.
It doesn't keep the band from adding some proverbial fuel to the fire though, as they immediately go into the up-tempo Keep Your Eyes Open, praising the Town Tub and its massages in the process, followed by an early Waiting Room, after briefly urging those present to adapt their dances and movements to the situation at hand.
The performance in general is solid, as the band pretty much goes through its entire live catalogue at this point, with the exception of Turn Off Your Guns, And The Same or Joe #1. Note another standout version of Glueman, as Ian pitches in vocally as he did three nights before in Spokane, and adds a little guitar tune as an outro to the song.
Unfortunately, the overall sound quality of this recording doesn't do much for me personally since the vocals sound suppressed, both the bass and bass drum are far from crisp in the mix, and the balance of the acoustics deteriorates after interlude 7.

I like this version of Glueman, especially since Ian pitches in vocally, which definitely adds something to the song. I haven't heard a version quite like it as far as I remember. Also, listening to these early Fugazi shows really is something else, because of the small (or in this case odd) venues and intimate interaction. In this regard these shows are a vast departure from anything after, probably, 1991 or so (I only got to see Fugazi play in 1995 for the first time myself)...
