Fugazi hit the city of Chico, California just two times over the years. While the first gig dates back to 1990, the show presented here played out some 9 years later and is set at the Cal State University Shurmer Gym.
Unfortunately, the opening remarks and beginning of Do You Like Me are missing, since the recording was started late.
The audio quality is pretty much okay, the vocals up front especially while the guitars appear somewhat muted the first couple of songs. The audience, sadly, is distant and low in the mix.
Note the only performance of Runaway Return this leg of the 1999 tour. Otherwise cool live renderings of Burning, Long Division, Public Witness Program, as well as Repeater rather exceptionally closing out the night.
This recording probably captures the shortest set of the 1999 West Coast tour, featuring some 19 tracks, drawing particularly from the End Hits (6) album, the earlier work being sparse this time around, cf. 7 Songs debut EP (1), Margin Walker EP (1), Repeater album (1), 3 Songs 7 inch (1), Steady Diet of Nothing (3), In on the Kill Taker (3), Red Medicine (3).

Please Note: Available recordings have been mastered to correct for volume shifts, drop outs, etc. but some sonic anomalies will still exist, especially early in the set when the mix is being settled. The band has rated each show for sound quality and set the general price of a download at $5 per show. If you have a different price in mind feel free to utilize the alternative pricing option.
I was at this show in 1999 while a student at CSU, Chico. So amazing!
