Adult Swim was founded in 1989 by Dischord Co-Owner Jeff Nelson to put out stuff he loved but that wasn't quite right for Dischord. Busy with many other projects, (namely 15 years of ongoing research for a book about his favorite bridge in Washington) Jeff has put out records very slowly and selectively. His musical interests have changed somewhat over the years, and his interest has grown in the wealth of great pop/rock and alt-country singer-songwriters who are laboring in relative obscurity.
