It’s available now, through multiple online stores including here. I can’t make sense of the versioning, but I don’t care.
The back of the album says 1991-2009 dischord.
This LP is $11.00 plus postage from dischord.
The online dischord price is $18 plus shipping.
I haven’t been able to find a copy of this used or new in any record store for over a year- and now dischord has it, hard times has it, Brooklyn vegan has it…
Either a fresh repress happened, or a few old crates were cracked.
Hey, all,
Any chance "Steady Diet of Nothing" is being reissued on vinyl in the near future? Thanks!

The first time I listened to this, I wasn't as impressed. Over time though it has grown on me and become a favorite. Alot of different layers to this album. Some of the best bass lines in their catalogue can be found here. Long division is my personal favorite.
Perhaps the least-cited, or most over-looked Fugazi LP, but for some reason, the one I listen to the most to this day.
To some of my friends at the time, this album was confusing...As I recall, many in my circle who found Repeater and 13 Songs so accessible, even fun, were not so sure about this "new direction" as they saw it. Not for me. I was lucky enough to see the band play in 89 and 90, but Steady Diet of Nothing was the point where I doubled down as a Fugazi fan. I listened to this record A LOT. Right away I realized that something musically and lyrically was going on with this band that transcended whatever boxes people wanted them to stay in. Fugazi carried me through the rest of the decade.

Listening to this on vinyl as a 45-year-old is so different from listening to it on a tape dubbed from another dubbed tape as an 18-year-old is such a different experience. Both awesome.
