So, we did one final tour without him in the summer of 92. Maybe the other guys didn’t think I was serious because when I actually did quit and moved away, they acted very surprised. There was a bunch of crazy shit in the papers and especially the English music press saying that I stole the van and ran away. Some even said that I eloped with Rachel Carns- who I was giving a ride out to Olympia, where she was moving.

Why did N.O.U. break up?
I was pretty fed up with the European tour in the early part of 92. I was just gonna quit after we got back, but James talked me into doing one more tour in the summer. I agreed but told them that I would probably quit after that. When I told Kroner that I planned to quit later in the year, he just decided to quit the band right then and there.
