Pat Graham's debut book of band photography, Silent Pictures, is now available from the Dischord web-store.
Pat Graham has been a photographer for nineteen years and spent several years working with us here at Dischord. His photography centers around musicians and has been featured on dozens of albums for many different labels (and is well represented throughout this website). Pat spent years on the road with bands, especially Modest Mouse, capturing all aspects of being a musician (playing music, and living the life). Silent Pictures covers this ground and more, featuring photographs of Modest Mouse, Fugazi, Slant 6, Bikini Kill, Lungfish, Unrest, June of 44, Make-Up and many more.
Pat currently lives in London, England where he continues taking pictures and running 96 Gillespie, the gallery he co-founded with his wife Melanie Standage.
144 pages, softbound book, Akashic Press
Photography by Pat Graham with a forward by Ian MacKaye and an afterward by Cynthia Connolly.

On Friday August 10 there will be a benefit concert at the Velvet Lounge in Washington DC to raise funds for John Stabb, the former singer of Government Issue and Factory Incident, who was assaulted near his home in suburban DC. John's injuries required surgery that his insurance company apparently doesn't feel it is responsible for.
The Benefit show will feature: Dave Smalley (ex-Dag Nasty/Down By Law), Marc Ganancias , The Saviors, Pup Tent , Lorelei (Slumberland), Jerry Busher (of Fugazi / French Toast/ All Scars)
There is also an Ebay Auction currently in progress which features items donated to raise money for John's medical fund.

Windows 2000 / Internet Explorer Conflict Fixed!
08.01.07
People who use the combination of the Windows 2000 operating system and Internet Explorer (IE) web-browser can now order from the Dischord Records web-store
People who use the combination of the Windows 2000 operating system and Internet Explorer (IE) web-browser can now order from the Dischord Records web-store. Our programmers were able to isolate the conflict that was occurring between these two programs and create a patch to over-ride the defect.
The Dischord Records website was built to meet current web standards and to function with the vast majority of current and older systems. However, creating a system that adheres to new standards while remaining fully functional on older systems remains a challenge so we thank you for your patience and understanding. As always, if you are having difficulty ordering from our website you can call us at 703-351-7507 and place an order over the telephone.
We still recommend the Firefox and Safari web-browsers, simply because our website was designed in these environments and looks best using their tools. However, Internet Explorer should now function properly. Regardless of what browser you use, you will want to have javascript enabled and have your program set to accept cookies. You may also need to reset your cache (temporary internet files) so that your bowser doesn't reload the older version of the store.
If you are concerned with privacy you can read about our Privacy Policy here: Privacy Policy
